HDR Photographer – HDR Photographers – Realistic HDR Photography

St Mary’s church Saffron Walden Essex UK HDR photography

I took these HDR images of St Mary’s church in Saffron Walden after shooting a set of images for a photography project on Castle Street. It was a beautiful afternoon and I had some space left on my flash card so I grabbed a few exposures whilst the church was empty. I ended up with a 10 stop range of exposures taken manually.

There are many ways to produce HDR’s but my preferred way is a mixture of Photoshop HDR pro, Photomatix pro and good old fashioned Photoshop. You have to evaluate each image as to the best mix of software tools it needs and take the best bits from each piece of software. This often means that I generate base HDR’s in Photomatix and Photoshop to get the benefits from each one. I also prefer to clean up and handle any image noise problems directly in Photoshop rather than rely on a plugin to do the job, quite often the problems are very local not global and rather than fiddling around with thresholds I can just deal with the problem areas head-on.

I accept commissions for my realistic HDR photography and Low-light photography, please call or email me to discuss.
